<-- [The Roronoas] last updated

Elly Sketchit is my own cartoon character. It's non-canon for her to be with Zoro since she's really with someone named "Wasabi" from the Air-Lobster strip, stories and site. But I fangirl for fun, roleplay with my husband and goof off with friends. My husband's more like Zoro than Sabi, so we're always seen together in that wise rather than him portraying the real character Els is paired with!

So. To clarify: Elly doesn't differentiate much from her husband and Zoro, seeing as they are both:

  • cranky a lot of the time
  • make hysterical/adorable faces when shocked
  • same amount of letters in their names that both start with "z"
  • love alcohol and can soak up tons of it
  • adore sleeping at all hours of the day & night

You get the idea. It's fun, for fun, and fun is always good. Don't read this if you're going to take it personally.

Engaged: June 30, 2007.

Roliana Wedding: Oct 16, 2008

Wedding Vows: Elly's and Zoro's.

Wedding Site: click for images (wedding site lasts 1 year only).

Elly & Zoro met when Zoro rescued her from a mob of villagers. They thought she was a demon cat - as well she is -- but she didn't mean them harm. For a few years or so she had a crush on the person that carried her away from the disaster, however (Sanji). When she realized what a player he can be she grew hurt and switched to cat form to mope around. Since Zoro sleeps a lot, she ended up staying with him often and they discovered their love quite by accident.

The Cutter

Type: Cutter

Designation: "(The) Cutter"

Masthead: 3 swordblades

Rooms: 3 w/ kitchen + bath

Bed(s): 1 + w/pull out couch

Extra(s): 1 Glass Panel

The Cutter is the ship Elly and Zoro Roronoa travel in for the sake of some fics (I don't usually use it, but I have sometimes for novelty's sake). The name of the ship style itself is "cutter" and Zoro didn't feel that it needed another name besides that when he heard it. He's generally not thrilled with the small ship - he calls it a "boat" -- but happy that they have privacy inside its lower decks.

Cutters were used chiefly in the Navy as scouts and dispatch boats, depending upon speed to get them out of trouble. They tended to be small tubby little craft rather deeper than one would think and very cramped for the crew. They carried guns more to offer defiance than for serious resistance to the enemy. They appear to to be carrying sails that were too big for her, but because of the deep draught, the large sails were needed to drive the ship through the water at speed. Later cutters had more sails than the one shown. The Navy usually had about 20 of these little vessels on the strength.

The Roronoas' Cutter has three swords struck off at the hilt and jammed into the mast. It's like all cutter ships, narrow and cramped on the outside deck with lots of rigging and sails. Her lower cabins are very deep, extending some distance below the water and providing an astonishing amount of room (even though it's still very small). There is one shared bedroom with a pull out couch for visitors, a small rec room (most of which is filled with Zoro's weights), a bathroom with toilet and standing tub/shower. The kitchen has an area with a glass bottom so Elly can see the fish and/or anything that might be worth diving for below. Off to the side of the kitchen is the main table where they eat and read maps, etc. Much of the Cutter is devoted to storage space seeing as it is a small ship. It makes the most of what they have in rather ingenious ways.
